\»Morena Cacao Ecuatoriano\» – an artisan chocolate store in Cuenca – won second place in the \»Ecuador en un bombón\» creation contest, an event that brought together the best chocolatiers and exhibitors from all over the country.

Morena decided to participate with the objective of showing their chocolates made art. This was the first edition of the contest, and the competitors were evaluated according to criteria such as elaboration technique, design, texture, flavor, durability, and balance of ingredients.

A very important requirement was that the chocolates should represent Ecuador, that is to say, that in each bite one could taste some typical flavor of the country.
